Description
Nice looking stem plant that needs plenty of light. If it gets
enough light the leaves got a red-brown color. On the first photograph of this
page you can see how the plant looks in my aquarium at this time, while the
second picture shows the emerse form of the plant.
My experiences
I've had this plant in my aquarium for a bit more than two
months. The emerse leaves the plants had when I bought them where very
sensitive for pointed algae in my aquarium. At first the submerse leaves
where less sensitive for these algae, but when the plants where a bit older the submerse
leaves also became sensitive for pointed algae. About a week before I took these
plants out of my aquarium they started to form branches on the tops of the
plants.
| Place and lighting in my aquarium |
This
plant stood in the mid-back of my aquarium. The lighting I used at the
time was a 0.42 Watt/liter lumilux TL lighting (2*18 Watt). |
