Paracheirodon axelrodi
Common
name
Cardinal tetra
Description
Nice looking fish that lives in a shoal, which is quite easy to hold.
My experiences
Only new fishes sometimes give
troubles, because the sensitive fins of these fishes easily damage with
the transport. Therefore they sometimes get a bit infected with a disease
on the fins. Most of the times this will disappear after a few days, but
sometimes the help of medicines is needed. The fish swims more in the
mid-zone of the aquarium than the P. innesi. Although this fish prefers acid
water (and don't get this in my aquarium) they do very well in my
aquarium.
